Good Afternoon Washington Patriots,
Here are your announcements for the upcoming week.
Our 4th and 5th grade state testing starts on Monday. Please make sure to bring your child on time to school every day, and avoid any appointments during the school day. In addition, the K-2 grade English Learners will be starting their ELPAC testing. Our 3rd graders will test the following week.
Tuesday, April 14 is our In-N-Out Burger and Family Game Night from 5:30 -7:30 pm. Doors will open at 5:15 pm. The entrance is through the staff parking lot gate. If you have purchased In-N-Out Burger tickets, you will need to stop by the check-in to pick them up. The In-N-Out truck will be serving from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Please bring picnic blankets and don’t forget your games. Limited seating is available. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Also please note that there are no food sales at the truck. Only those families who purchased tickets will be able to get food from the truck.

Friday, April 17 at 8:30 am is our next ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee) Meeting. This is our last meeting of the current school year. Join us to meet with the principal and the ELD team. We will be having presentations from the After School Enrichment and Safety (ASES) program and the Burbank Library, as well as learning about summer programs to keep your child busy and practicing English, how long it takes to learn a second language, and what middle school will be like for English Learners.
In Other News:
From Wednesday, April 15 - Sunday, April 19 the LA Kids Consignment sale is open at ATB Studios located at 157 W. Providencia, Burbank. They have a lot of merchandise for newborns to teens at 50% to 90% off of retail. Information was sent home in your Thursday folder and is available on the Washington app or website.

There will be no school for the students on April 24.
On April 30th we will be having an Open House. This will be your opportunity to visit your students' classroom and to take a peek at what to expect next school year. We hope to see you all there.
May 1 will be a shortened day (Tuesday Schedule).
