Washington Family News Blast for Sunday, December 7, 2025
Good afternoon Washington Patriots,
This week we have a lot of different events going on at school.
The Student Council will be conducting our Annual Holiday Food Drive. They are asking our Washington families to bring the following items: TK and Kindergarten – Pasta and Rice; 1st grade –cereal and breakfast items; 2nd grade – canned soup (no Cup of Soup needed; 3rd grade- canned fruit; 4th grade – canned vegetables (no canned corn or green beans needed), and 5th grade hygiene items such as toothpaste, tooth brushes, Shampoo, soap and shower gels, etc. All food donations must be non-perishable items. These items will be donated to Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC). Don't forget to turn in Box top information if the item you are purchasing qualifies. See attached flyer. Thank you for your support and generosity.
The Student Council is also selling Holiday Grams at lunch each day next week. Students can purchase a card to send to a friend, along with a treat. Cost is 50¢ per gram.
The PFC is having a Holiday Gift Shop all week from 1:30- 3:30 pm in the Auditorium Foyer. This gives students a special chance to buy affordable, thoughtful gifts for family and friends. The shop will be stocked with a variety of kid-friendly items, all priced to fit any budget. You can send your child with money in the envelope attached to the flyer that came home last week. You can also purchase a shopping voucher online and send the voucher in with your child. See the attached flyer for details.
Volunteers will be on hand to help students choose and wrap their surprises. If you are interested in volunteering, PFC would love to have your support. Please find the sign up below.
